Jackson McCosker graduated from La Trobe University in 2013 with a Bachelor in Health Science and Masters in Podiatric Practice. He is currently employed at Melbourne Podiatry Clinic and Northern Foot Clinic. He has a keen interest in musculoskeletal injuries and strength and conditioning as a preventative management and treatment.
Jackson grew up in the coastal town of Warrnambool, Victoria; completing his VCE at Warrnambool College in 2008 and continuing on to South West TAFE to complete a Certificate III in Fitness/Certificate IV in sports development in 2009, before moving to Bundoora to attend university. Initial professional aspirations were to become a physiotherapist but interest in the foot and ankle soon developed as practice management began to be associated with his love of long distance running. Additionally, Jackson has worked as a sales assistant at leading footwear specialist The Athlete’s Foot and has developed a more advanced knowledge of footwear technologies and what specific brands/shoe types can offer to his patients.
Jackson has participated in many sports over his life and has accomplished many personal goals in soccer and long distance running. Other sports of interest include but are not limited too; roller hockey, field hockey, basketball, Australian Rules football, gridiron, rugby, cycling, triathlon, tennis and baseball. Jackson has an interest in reading biographies of people of all backgrounds and accomplishments.
